Environmental Responsibility
At Wonder Arts we place arts and culture at the heart of our work with, for and by families, children and young people. Within this, and guided by our vision, mission and core values, we recognise that we have an ethical and moral responsibility to safeguard the environment through our practices and activities. We are committed to monitoring and reducing our environmental impact as part of our business strategy and operations.
Wonder Arts has taken steps towards environmental sustainability including reducing our carbon footprint, engaging with climate-related programming and commissions. We have an ethical and moral responsibility to safeguard the environment through our practices and activities.
As a building less organisation we aim to move beyond environmental sustainability towards environmental responsibility. We endeavour to embed environmental thinking in everything you do, from operations (including re-assessing and choosing our suppliers) to participation projects (environmental heritage), commissions, programming (environmental festival) and partnerships (e.g. Forestry England) to help support our environmental commitment. We recognise that good environmental management makes good business sense and we believe that in order to be a sustainable organisation we should consider our environmental, social and financial performance and responsibilities.
Wonder Arts aspires to be a learning organisation, and we recognise that through collaboration and knowledge sharing, we can continue to develop and embed this policy in our work and encourage the people we work with to engage with us as we learn about and explore these issues.
